Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a modern manual therapy technique that uses thin needles to stimulate muscle tension points, called “trigger points.” This method aims to release tight muscles, reduce pain, and restore mobility. It is particularly effective for chronic muscle pain, contractures, stiffness, and certain sports injuries.
Benefits:
- Quick pain relief: release tension points responsible for local or radiating pain.
- Improved mobility: muscles relax, allowing a greater range of motion.
- Post-exercise or injury recovery: reduce tension and improve local blood circulation.
- Injury prevention: releasing muscle tension helps maintain body balance and prevent repetitive injuries.
How a session works:
Each session begins with a full assessment of painful areas and muscle tension. The needle is then inserted into the targeted trigger point. A small twitch or prick may be felt, indicating the muscle is releasing tension.
After the session, personalized exercises and advice may be given to maintain results: stretching, muscle hydration, and posture correction.
Goal: relieve pain, restore mobility, and promote optimal muscle function.
